  • Added to oatmeal, dressing, marinades, stirfry, etc.

Saltine Crackers

When I’m feeling nauseous, my go-to foods are simple, plain, and boring. Like saltine crackers! Often once you can’t keep anything down, saltine crackers will do the trick.

Keep saltine crackers on your nightstand and eat one or two before you get out of bed within the morning. If you’re hungry, your nausea could be tons worse.

Other options almost like Saltine Crackers that you simply can keep up your nightstand include:

  • pretzels (yum!)
  • Cheerios
  • rice cakes
  • rice crackers
  • oatmeal cookies
  • popcorn
  • salted nuts

You can also try spread toast, or toast with butter for breakfast (though you’ll get to rise to cook that… unless you’re having breakfast in bed – stellar idea!)

Fruits and Vegetables that Help nausea

Getting your fruits and veggies in when you’re pregnant is so important. Luckily, these also are GREAT at helping nausea.


Lemon features a fresh scent that has mood-lifting qualities. You’ve got a lot of options with lemons:

simply cut a lemon and inhale the aroma to ease your nausea. this is often especially helpful if you’re reacting to a smell in your environment.

keep a tissue with a couple of drops of lemon volatile oil during a ziplock bag in your purse for a nausea buster on the go. Alternatively, you’ll keep a number of the rind and squeeze it once you got to.

Kaity from With Kids and occasionally found that grapefruit was amazing for her nausea – eat for breakfast, or a snack any time. As another bonus, it contains a lot of vital nutrients and is extremely hydrating.
